Last week I asked my readers to submit their “real” reviews of agencies, to counter balance the nicely dressed ones that you find in any Advertising publication, and I want to thank those who submitted some already. Keep ‘em coming!
Today’s review is of DraftFCB New York.
Pros:
- Located in New York
- Well established agency with well established clients.
- Clients include - Audi, KFC, Motorola, Lego, Chips Ahoy!, Starbucks, Taco Bell
- Well established internal process - means you know what is coming and how to do it
- Great if you are the presidents boyfriend - you get your own stdio “Draftworks”
Cons:
- George Parker hates them, so if you want to be his friend you should do the same
- DM “slave galley” - they pump out as much work as fast as they can for as little as they can. Do not expect to be treated kindly if you are at all involved in DM especially on the Studio and Account side
- Salaries are not the greatest (unless your an executive) and the raises do not come often, nor are they very substantial.
- Full of nepotism and political mum-jumbo
