Survival Tip #9: How to survive the lunch meeting
New to advertising? Well the lunchtime meeting is something you need to get use to. The lunch hour is usually one of the few remaining slots at which the majority of people are available.
If no food is provided at this meeting – bring your own. You need to eat, if you do not eat, you will die. It is that simple. Fell free to bring your home-made lunch in its full Tupperware packaging and slowly unwrap it at the meeting. Make sure you bring all your condiments as well.
If lunch is served at the meeting, the firs thing you need to do is arrive early at the meeting to secure a nice spot by the food. Make sure to eat a sampling of everything that is offered! And don’t be one of those ninnies that just grabs a few grabs and pieces of cheese. Who cares if you look like a horse when you chew and drop food all over the place. You need to eat and you won’t have to actually say much, because you are eating. At the end of the meeting make sure to take some of the leftover lunch with you. It will make a great 3 o’clock snack.
